Silver nitrate sticks are used for chemical cauterization with the help of a mixture of silver nitrate and potassium nitrate placed on its head.
Silver nitrate works bactericidal, astringent and causes scab formation, whereby when used with water leads to denaturation of proteins and as a result tissue necrosis. Potassium nitrate is designed to alleviation of the effects of silver nitrate.
SILVERIN® sticks make it possible to spot application of the active substance, thanks to which its action is limited to the selected site.
