Prontosan gel for wounds 30g BRAUN
Prontosan acute, wound gel B. Braun, 30g
Prontosan wound gel is a wound care hydrogel that accelerates the wound healing process. Disinfectant and antibacterial product.
Composition
Purified water, glycerol, hydroxyethylcellulose, betaine surfactant, 0.1% polyaminopropyl biguanidine (polyhexanidine).
Action
Prontosan acute wound gel contains hydrocolloids with a neutral pH, which accelerates the healing process of the wound, thereby reducing the likelihood of scar formation. What's more, thanks to its cooling effect, Prontosan acute wound gel instantly relieves pain and itching.
Prontosan gel for wounds comes in the form of a ready-to-use, clear, odorless and colorless hydrogel. This gel is non-irritating and well tolerated, and its application is painless.
The product, when applied to the wound, regulates the moisture level of the wound, thus creating perfectly moist conditions for healing.
Indications
Prontosan wound gel is indicated for application to atopic skin, with itching and hard-to-heal wounds, as well as for light burns and superficial wounds (such as abrasions and cuts).
During many years of clinical experience, very good tissue tolerance of polyhexanidine and surface-active betaine was confirmed. As an additional indication, Prontosan acute wound gel is also effective against clinically relevant pathogenic microorganisms, including MDRO.
How to use the medical device
Both before and after the wound care procedure, wash your hands.
